Yes, the exact same service others charge $89.95 or more for is what we provide to you for at least $25 less. Don't believe their hype that it isn't the same, they don't know! There are only so many things that can be done to properly service your watch and they know it but want you to think otherwise.

We DO NOT require prepayment.
Included in the basic kinetic watch service:
Visual Inspection
Of all parts of the watch including the case, case back, pusher, o-rings and seals, crown, movement, gear train and crystal.
Electrical testing
Of the coils and cirtcuit. Including circuit consumption, electrical charging rate and the new battery to be installed.
Kinetic Capacitor/Battery Replacement
Kinetic capacitor/battery replacement with the new Seiko Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery.
(This includes the new insulator, bridge and Seiko kinetic LI battery).
Clean Case
When a watch is worn dirt builds up next to the caseback. Then as it is opened for service this dirt moves into the watch. If this is not cleaned there is no way to reseal your watch to factory specs.
We take pride in our work and want the best for you.
So because we are the best we don't just wipe the gasket channel. Just wiping the channel is rediculous. It can't be properly cleaned by just wiping it. We actually clean your whole watch case ultrasonically. It is the right way to service your watch. Don't settle for some bozo that just wipes it clean.
We clean and we guarantee water resistance if your watch is capable of water resistance.
Yes, if any dirt is left, the gasket will not seal and water will get inside. To service your watch properly the crown and stem need to be removed along with the movement. So just wiping the gasket channel for the case back gasket does not take care of the other areas that are still dirty. That dirt will drop in the gasket channel which will prevent the gaskets from sealing.
The crown is a good place for this dirt to accumulate as well. This is not hype but truth. We'll be posting pictures shortly of this very thing where some small fibers and dirt were left by someone just wiping the gasket channel, then the case back then starts to rust. Yes, even a stainless steel case can rust.
New Caseback Gasket
Your watch cannot be properly resealed without this! Old gaskets will not reseal and will leak.
This is one of the most important gaskets and if it is not changed there is no way anyone can guarantee your watch will be resealed to factory specs. Just opening your watch will stretch the gasket out of shape and in some cases will beak it. Without a new gasket and cleaning of the case your watch cannot be resealed to factory specs.
Seal Stem and Crown
This is where we see the most water leaks.
Another important place that needs to be sealed. We see many kinetics come in where moisture has come in through the crown and the stem has started to rust or worse, the rust has entered the movement. Most times the crown needs to be cleaned and resealed but sometimes the problem requires extra service.

Seal Pusher
One more point where water can get into your watch.
Only a professional watchmaker will do this and that is because we take pride in our work and strive to make sure you are satisfied. This cleaning and resealing is extra work and many people with kinetic repair sites are not professional watchmakers so they won't take the time to do this or to service your watch properly. Many of these pushers do not seal when they come in and have so much dirt built up underneath that prevents them from sealing and operating properly. If the dirt is not removed it acts like sand paper on the o-ring and will prevent your watch from sealing properly. We clean the tube and pusher and then reseal it. If the wear is significant additional work will be needed to restore the seal.
-
Pressure Test
Just replacing gaskets and resealing does NOT mean your watch is water resistant. All of that can be done and still there can be a leak - even a small one.
If it isn't pressure tested it is impossible to know that your watch is sealed.
-
Clean Band
Some inexperienced people say you don't need this.
The dirt on the case will keep it from being water resistant again as explained above. The dirt on the band will act as sandpaper on the joints and pins. This will eventually wear down all the parts holding it together and the band will eventually fail. It takes no more time to clean the band while cleaning the case and it will prolong the life of your band. Saving you money. Why wouldn't a professional watchmaker do this? Maybe because they aren't really a professional. We do this extra work because we care about you and your valuable watch.

New Stainless Steel Spring Bars (if needed)
Many watches that come in have spring bars that are weak, bent or coming apart.
These are one of the most inexpensive parts on a watch to replace. Since the watch is here and having everything else fixed it only makes sense to be sure your watch will stay on your arm, doesn't it? If a spring bar fails and your watch falls to the ground it could cost more to repair it from the fall than a couple of $1 spring bars! A professional watchmaker would know this and replace them. One more reason we are the best.
Don't believe the lies from other kinetic repair sites when they say this is not important. We have customers send us their watches after a competitior that claims this isn't important serviced their watch where the spring bars were not replaced and the spring bars broke and the watch fell to the floor. Some of these falls are minor and just dislocate the movement inside the case. Other times it can break the oscillating weight and that broken weight can cause more damage to the movement.
Only a true professional that cares about you and your watch will gladly replace these and they would not claim it isn't important.

There are kinetic repair websites with so many lies and BS on them about how a clean case and band means nothing and how if you let the battery drain completely it is the fault of the service center. What a load of crap. These are important and the Lithium Ion Battery is like the battery in your cell phone or laptop computer. If the battery is allowed to completely drain, nothing anyone does can bring it back to life and it doesn't matter if the circuit is in perfect working order, the battery is still not going to work. Period. Claiming the opposite is a bold face lie. A laptop and cell phone and other electronic devices have special circuitry to shut down the device so that the batteries will NOT be drained completely for this exact reason. Your kinetic watch does not have this circuitry. Which means if you allow your watch to sit without being charged regularly the battery will drain completely and will need to be replaced.
That is the truth. No lies and certainly no BS!
Let us prove this. If the Lithium Ion Battery can be allowed to completely drain and then be recharged with a perfectly working circuit then why would anyone need a battery replacement at all? Why would having fresh batteries from Seiko be important? If these liars claiming the oppostite thought about this they would realize you are not that stupid and would figure out that a replacement battery could be dead from the factory and still work in the watch if what they claim is true. This isn't rocket science and you are not as dumb as they believe you are.
On the occasion we have to replace a kinetic movement in a watch the new movement comes in with a Litium Ion Battery installed already and 90% of them are dead from sitting on a shelf for too long. But if that battery is left in the movement it will not accept a charge, even on a genuine Seiko kinetic energy supplier unit. It won't accept a charge even if the watch is worn 24 hours a day for a month. Once the battery is dead it is dead. Plain and simple.
Only a true professional will tell you this truth and not lie to you about it with some false claims about how the circuitry isn't tested and working properly. That shows their lack of knowledge, professionalism and contempt for you and your watch.
