If your watch band is coming apart we can most times repair it. Sometimes it is an easy repair, other times we will need to laser weld the band to repair it. This includes the clasp. Sometimes the "T" end of the clasp will break apart. Instead of replacing the clasp we can laser weld it together again and it will work like new. The cost to laser weld the clasp is a fraction of the cost to replace the clasp.
We laser weld whenever possible instead of soldering. The simple reason is that solder is a lesser quality of metal than your band is made of. It melts at a much lower temperature to make soldering possible. The way this is accomplished is by adding lower melting point metals to the alloy. These added metals weaken the wear resistance of the solder. Laser welding uses the same material (stainless steel, 18K gold, 14K gold and so on) as your watch is made from. Laser welds are stronger than the orginal metal. So wear resistance is not an issue for the welds. Laser welding is very precise where solder when melted will flow everywhere it can. Most times in places you don't want it to.
TAG Heuer has been creating a strong brand of sports watches and chronographs since 1860. The experts behind the TAG Heuer design continually develop the best in men's and women's watches, always standing up to the “Swiss avant-garde” approach that the company was founded on. When there is a demand for watches with style, class, and reliability, the TAG Heuer never under delivers.
The TAG Heuer Company has come a long way since its creation by Edouard Heuer in Switzerland, but the quality of the product remains the same. With a history spanning more than 147 years, it's no surprise that TAG Heuer is where it is today. From premium sports watches to fashionable formal wear, TAG Heuer has something for every occasion and personality.
In Switzerland around 1860, Edouard Heuer was dedicated to creating a watch that would excel in the sports world for performance and accuracy. Heuer Watches have gone beyond the technological stream since the beginning until today. The Heuer watch was purchased by General Eisenhower in 1945 for its stainless steel case and chronograph functions. By 1964, the International Racing World were wearing the Carrera- A Steve Mcqueen favorite. Tag Heuer has continued to surprise and excel in the watch world with stylish, functional and accurate timepieces of many different metals and materials. Tag Heuer has become an international favorite of many athletes and sport spectators. Tag Heuer is advancing into the field of Telephones and luxury Eye Wear that will have the quality and dedication to excellence that one expects from them.
